No Start, Jumping tach

When going to start my truck that was plugged all night it would crank but the tach would not move when starter is running, then the engine would sound like its about to start and the tach would jump up to around 500-600rpm then drop to 0 again.
Any fixes appreciated

Check the CPS connector and wiring and maybe switch out the CPS with a new OEM (Motorcraft) one. If that doesn't help, you at least have a good spare for the glovebox (always a good dea anyway). Cheers!

I tried to start the engine later today and got it started and running, CPS is going out for sure though, any thoughts on where to purchase a good OEM CPS?
