It'd be interesting to check out those injectors. Do you know what method they used to increase the size of them?

As for the injection pump with new injectors the new injectors may have a higher pop off pressure but that pressure is significantly lower than the actual injection pressure. So I doubt that they are keeping a "worn out" pump from pumping properly. Typically what happens with these pumps when they go bad is the advance piston bore gets worn out and lets to much transferpump pressure by and therefor won't advance the timeing properly. An easy way to test to see if that is what's happening is to push the bottom of the verticle lever on the side of the pump in and if the idle doesn't change it needs an overhaul. Unfortunately this is something you need to tear the whole pump apart to do so you have to just do a comoplete rebuild.

Also the cheap $350 rebuilds are just that. Cheap. They only replace a couple worn out parts and that's it. A good quality rebuild with all new wear parts will cost more than that just in parts.
