2011 6.7 question
Trying to help out a stranger that was stranded, he has a 2011 6.7 that he changed out both Fuel filters , says he did the proper cycling of the key to get the fuel back, drove it about a mile and it died and wont start back up. I had my code reader on me and he is getting P20BA and P2074. I have researched the codes but it just seems strange that this happened right after changing the filters, any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

2074 is for a MAF sensor. Probably dirt/grime build up, or a false reading. 20ba is for DEF heater. He's probably had that one for a while I'm guessing but the truck hasn't gone into reduced power mode. I had the same problem, but I could drive and drive and drive. I would reset it and it would come back 100 miles later. The 2074 code could not really be the MAF itself. I replaced mine, and it ended up being an EGT sensor downstream causing the misreading.

jman37-- would the 2074 keep it from starting? and also have caused it to just die?
Thanks in advance

It shouldn't. Mine never died with that code, always started for me.

Can you view fuel rail pressure with your device?
I've seen these trucks stall out after being run and having air still in the system, following filter replacement.
What i like to do in that case is disconnect the return line off the secondary (engine mounted) fuel filter and cycle the key on. Then reconnect the line. It'll make a good bit of mess but it should fire up afterward.

Oh and there was a recent tsb Come out for that p2074 dtc. pcm reprogram.
Not sure if 2011 were affected though.

If not, there are a myriad of possible culprits.
However, from my experiences with the code, it was usually either the maf or map sensor causing it
