Starting issues

When turning the key the starter stutters several times then turns over, anyone else have this issue?

What year is your truck and how old are the batteries?

Your batteries might be the problem since they are the originals. I just had to replace mine in my 2015 last month. I would take the batteries and have them load tested. Make sure you isolate them so you are load testing each battery and not both at once.

Don't load test them, just replace them. My '14 Lariat wouldn't start by key but would start by remote so I replaced the batteries and all is well.
