It is interesting you say that. Last weekend we were at a winery for a charity event. Parking was tight so we parked away from the unwashed masses back in an area that said "4x4 only parking". With all the rain and snow, the ground was very soft. Got in just fine, but after the truck sat there for a few hours the tires sank in a little bit. When we went to leave, the rear tires spun up a bit (stock tires are awesome) and I swear I heard the same noise when the TC kicked in.
So my plan today is to go to a spot where I can almost always hear the noise as I turn uphill. I'll turn off the TC and Stability Control to see if it is the same or different....or gone. I'll report back on my findings.

Well, I tried it and I think it may be ABS/ TC related. Because of traffic and a push for time, I could only try twice- once with TC on and once with it off. I'll have to play a little more to confirm it.

Don't forget to turn advance trac off as well.

Turn off TC, then press and hold the TC button until the alert comes up.

Overdue to update this. I try to stay on top of things because I hate searching for a topic and find the OP never posted a resolution. Lol.
Anyway, it is definitely TC/ ESC related. In my mind anyway. I was able to do a couple tests in the same spot. TC off no noise, TC on noise. I'm guessing it is the ABS solenoids I am hearing? My understanding is with this vehicle it actuates the brake on the wheel it thinks is slipping. What really sealed the deal was pulling out of the car wash parking lot. There is a long snail trail of tire shine up the road from it flinging off cars. I stopped to wait for traffic and when I goosed the 6.7 to squirt out there was the noise. Flat and straight trajectory so it could not have been rub.
Now, WTF to do? Unless there is some way to reset the parameters or see something in FORSCAN, it is a trip to the dealer. Not a huge issue because it is under warranty (I think) still but it is a pain in the arse.

Well, the dealer was not able to replicate it while logging the system during a test drive. They did tell me that if it happens again, and they are open, to just drive straight there so they can look at the logs.
