Wind noise?

I am getting a lot of wind noise from the driver's side door. Anyone else?

I don't see anything obvious, but I am wondering if I can just replace the weatherstripping on the inside of the door frame?

I had a similar issue on my 2016, and stopped by to see my body guy about it.

He said it is a common problem, then rolled down the window and gave a few sharp tugs to the upper window frame on the front door.

It wasn't a technical fix, but there is no more wind noise.

We'll see what my guy does - I've made an appointment for the 24th.

keep us posted please
i have the same issue on my 06 and have replaced all the weatherstrip but not the window seal since i couldn't even fit a business card through any place when the window was rolled up

i am starting to wonder if it is my new 08+ style mirrors when extended for towing or my hood deflector

but when i have my cab over camper on the wind noise is insane

wind noise on these trucks has been narrowed down to the outer weather stripper lifting in a few spots at speed. I've upgraded all my door seals. Look on youtube for that mod. Its cheap and easy and makes a difference but the wind noise your talking about is likely the common outer upper little seal that is normally tight but at speed lifts ever so slightly to make a noise that sounds like a air leak somewhere. The fix is to put a bit of glue or tape on it to keep it down.

Have any of you done the door seal mod where you pull surgical tubing through the void in the gasket?

Sorry I shouldn't have posted in such a hurry

i have done the surgical tube on old and new door seals it just made the doors harder to close

the profile of a new seal vs an old seal with the tubing is completely different so while the tubing may help some

I still have the wind sound and the only seal left for me that is not new is the window seal and I am just not sure that's the issues since it is hard to slide a business card anywhere around the window seal

i also have window vent shades that attach to that seal so it may be them after all

I don't recall this sound before I did the 08 mirrors ?

i did remove my hood valance and even with the mirrors slid in I still have the wind sound

I found that there is noise from the 08-16 tow mirror light edges. Replacing the OEM with aftermarket styled ones there is an increased whistle that does present itself. Sometimes it is there, sometimes not. Concerning your issue; using blue tape you can cover up seams and gaps to help pinpoint the source. It does take time but it works.
