Best tunes and reliability when deleting

I have recently bought a 2019 and I’m obviously wanting to go with the best tuner option. Haven’t ever owned a 6.7 Powerstroke so I’m not sure on who the best are with these trucks. I have quite a bit of experience with Duramax and Cummins. As of now I think I’m reading on here that gdp is one of the best. Any opinions would be awesome!

I’ve ran PPEI on a duramax and a Cummins but I read on here that they’re transmission tunes weren’t very good with these trucks. I haven’t had the best luck with their customer service either on the past few experiences lately with them either. Seems like they still did pretty good as long as you had ezlynk and tried to talk through that but other than that I couldn’t get any help out of them. Thanks for the reply.

I just ordered DP Tuner's Ndash unit with their 80e tune. I will be sure to create a thread on how the install process goes and my initial impressions. I will say however, I needed to get a hold of Jody a couple times before my order and their customer service has been great so far.

Are you staying emission intact? Or delete? Don't go with PPEI. Tyrant, GDP, TSD all make great tunes. If emissions DP Tuner is excellent, 5*.

Is there anything wrong with just disabling the egr on these trucks when tuning and deleting or is removing it actually necessary?

There's no "need" to remove the EGR cooler, but it's a good idea to at least remove the feed pipes and install the block off plates. Over time, the will be a considerable amount of soot buildup in the cooler if you don't. That would be a problem if you ever needed to go back to stock. A full delete opens up a lot of room in the engine bay, but it's not at all a requirement.
