Deleted 6.7 exhaust

I have a 2011 6.7 that is straight piped and deleted with the stock exhaust tip welded on, out of curiosity I wanted to see if anyone could tell me what would happen if I removed the entire exhaust from the front back. Would there be any performance issues? Currently the truck is fairly loud but nowhere near unbearable and the waste-gate mountain lion is loud and annoying. I was thinking I’d just experiment and see if I can find the sound I like best from the truck without jeopardizing the longevity of it. I tried google but no answers.

Are you asking about removing the down pipe back to the over the axle portion??

Maybe, @HeavyAssault Wherever the exhaust pipe begins I’d remove it as close to there as possible

Technically it begins at the turbine outlet of the turbo....but then it would blast the cab with hot exhaust....so then you need to leave the down pipe in place.

What would be the purpose of doing that? I used a 4in Flo-Pro, leaving the stock resonator and tip in place, and it's sounds good enough to me.

I just did my delete couple days ago and used 4” JAMO straight pipe. Sounds great and not to loud
