Do the CTS2 Pros support 6.7 tuning?
Sure do. HP Tuners is the tuning platform used.

has anyone tried both the No Limit tunes and Tyrant?

I got a heck of a black friday deal on a tuner package from Alligator that came with No Limit tunes - I keep hearing how awesome Tyrant is so I am wondering if buying that tune pack is THAT much of an improvement over the No Limit ones I have now.

Well it looks like they pulled off the Gearhead/Alberta tunes for SCT (only one on there is for H&S still) and just have No Limit tuning. They might be the same thing but I purchased them to try them and wasn't impressed. For me there is no comparison with Tyrant and No Limit branded tunes. Their Performance equivalent to Tyrant's felt like a Tow tune. My truck felt weaker and got horrible gas mileage, shifting felt good however. Tried their Extreme and it felt somewhat comparable to the 2nd highest Tyrant tune. I've been on Tyrant ever since. Just my 2 cents.

So whatever "tuner" I look into, will have to be emissions enabled.

So, if i understand this correctly, there are few tuners that will have generic tunes preloaded (based on my VIN) that give me upwards of 4 tunes? Stock, Tow, Performance, and Race. I am basing that off what I have read on the Evolution CTS2, correct?

I did see a "SALE" on the EZ Lynk from Dales Super Store. Its $499 but that is with "no support", i.e.: no tunes it seems. To add base tunes, you have to add another $585 to the price. So basically just a $500 dollar monitor.

So that is making the CTS2 still looking like the best deal for a monitor and tuner in one.

My research continues.

You should research what ezlynk platform really is and offers. It is not a monitor doesn’t even come with one. Once you understand what it offers and is capable of I think you’ll really want it instead of other platforms.

I have a 2015 F350 that came with a tune from a SCT BDX. I have tried to call Tyrant diesel I know they are here in Arkansas, but they never seem to answer the phone. Does anyone have a good number for them?

You have to go through a vendor to purchase their tunes. They're much too busy to deal with customers direct.

I didn't know that No Limit has their own branded tunes. I'm running the SCT X4, and got it from No Limit in late '17. I had Gearhead tunes, and swapped to Tyrant. I was never happy with the way the GH tunes shifted. I prefer the Tyrant shifting, but I can say that the GH tunes got better mileage. That's an apples-to-apples (tow tune-to-tow tune)comparison.

Virginia is not an emissions check state . They only check for leaks in exhaust. Northern VA may be tougher than rest of state though - not sure why.

Sick350,

Thanks for letting me know. We lived there for 5 years and I remember getting safety inspections with each new vehicle we got, but it was in NoVA and I don’t remember if they did smog or not.

I’ll have to wait until after we move anyway, as I’m saving for the move, but I think I will definitely delete once we get settled. It seems to be the consensus that it is better for the truck, long term. And I plan on keeping long term.
