Yep was just checking performance/sound in case anyone tried it out. Race pipe with muffler is $240 bucks but it is aluminum. Figured it may save a few bucks and connections.

I read about some people doing the 17" resonator from FTE and then the 40" donaldson muffler. I may try that setup and report back....unless someone else has already tried it.

i don't know if the 11-14s are dramatically louder than the 15+ but i have a 2016, did the flo pro delete pipe with stock tail pipe and you cant hear anything in the cab. its just as quiet as it was before the delete.

if you roll the windows down and turn the radio off, you can hear it a little bit.

Ok thanks for the info. Mine is a 2015...I have seen so many people do different things it about makes my head spin. Was trying to get away with doing something and not wanting to change it afterwards! Thanks!

Delete, but still have quiet exhaust?

Not my truck, but a good example of what a 6.7 with the 40 Donaldson sounds like.

I was in a similar mindset when I did mine - don't mind a little extra grunt when you romp on it, but don't want to piss off the neighbors leaving for work each morning.

I went with a Flo-Pro race pipe and 40" Donaldson (M085171 - $113 to my door) and am pleased. You will be able to hear a little more turbo whistle (mine is a 2013) but in the cab it is still very quiet. Outside at idle/low rpm it is not much louder - no neighbor complaints yet!

Hope that helps, overall it is a good set up IMHO

Awesome thanks. Ya I may do the resonator and the muffler to cut down on it as much as possible.

Just to clarify - i left the factory resonator above the rear axle in place as well.

Once you get that torpedo out from under the truck the race pipe fits in its place, then I cut a section out of the race pipe to fit the in-line muffler.
