The Best of Both Worlds? (Exhaust Wise)

So back about a year ago I "finished" building up my 05 6.0. 175/40's, KC Stage 2, 4" Straight pipe, etc and I loved both the power and the sound. Problem was, with the truck approaching 250k and me being in a business where lives may depend on my presence, or lack thereof should my ride fail, I sold it and bought a new '16 6.7.

Fast forward to today. The truck has almost 20k miles on it and I drive it every day. I love the truck and how it performs, but my itch to be faster and louder is growing. The problem is that I live in a quiet development, and I often have to respond to calls in the middle of the night. Is it possible to run a split exhaust with a valve that would could divert it to a different pipe with mufflers/resonators on it? I like the sound of the straight piped 6.7's but I want to keep my neighbors happy. I wouldn't be worried about EGT's because it would only be used for about a half mile or at idle, and then switched to the other exhaust.

Just run a muffler on your exhaust. It'll quiet it down a lot but still have that sound you're looking for

like said above, run a muffler. Keeps the nice tone and sound at low speed and idle, but not too loud for the neighbors. Still opens up nice when you get into it.

That would be too easy lol I like the way they sound straight piped and like the noise, with the exception being when I am idling in my driveway at 530am on the weekend or when I'm driving the half mile up my road at 2 am. I may end up having to go that route but I want to see what other options I have

Run a tune with open veins at idle. Not as loud as the "hairdryer" sound

Do you have experience running it personally? I had a couple of tunes made by Innovative that had that and the truck skipped and idled horribly. Don't want to go through the same experience

Alright good deal. I'll definitely look into that when I order tunes then.
