OK To Just Block EGR?

Purchased a No Limit delete kit, but wondering if I can just block the EGR for the time being versus complete removal? (I'm sure this has been addressed, but I wasn't able to find it)

Thanks,

TH

I'm looking for this exact answer but as a "forever" solution vs "in the mean time".

I plan to eventually do a full delete, but I guess I'd like to run it a while prior to doing so. Don't ask me why.....I suppose to ensure that I'm happy with tunes and new exhaust.

There is essentially no difference in the block off kit vs. the full delete kit, If you ever plan on running a aftermarket intake it would be in your best interest to go with the FULL delete so that you can get the stock coolant lines out of the way and have enough room for the intake to go in without being a PITA. But i have seen some accomplish an aftermarket intake with just block off kit but the coolant lines are a ***** to work around and make fit.

I exchanged my No Limit Full Delete Kit for the NL Block Off kit and I am just waiting for the parts to arrive so I can install... At this point in time, the block off kit is the easier solution for me. If further down the road I decide to delete, so be it and I'll cross the bridge when I get there!

Good call, this is the route I went as well. I may have to put mine back on someday if I have any major issues. The way I see it the only thing you gain doing a full removal is a little extra room under the hood and you shave 15 or 20 pounds on a >8000# truck. Seems like a lot of hassel for nothing. I would think it would last forever with the blockers installed as it is just a coolant passage at that point. Also the coolant line with the bent metal section I removed and ran a piece of heater hose and routed it under my nl stg2. It is not at all in the way for the intake. This is on a 15 thou, I think the coolant lines may be slightly different on the 2nd gen 6.7

If I just run a block off - without the addition of a programmer/tuner, am I going to get any benefit (or see any codes)?

You need to tune it. Do not block off the egr unless you are removing the dpf and tuning the truck. You will have problems.
