2012 ECT/EOT temps

I have a 2012 f350 218k miles. For the last two years I’ve experienced elevated EOT/ECT temps (more noticeable during summer)

Today 100*
75-80 mph
Empty
Ranch hand bumper
CM skirted bed
4.5” lift
37s
Mishimoto radiator
Oil cooler replaced about 10k miles ago
Rotella T6 changed very 5-6k miles for the last 150k miles.

All emission equipment intact.

EOT 233*
ECT 221*

As soon as you slow down or stop temps come back down quick. Idle temps are both 178-180

Do you think it’s the dreaded oil plug blocking the oil galley in the upper pan? Seem like from what I’ve read ECTs don’t come up as high with oil plug problems, but not sure where else to look.

Well.....since EOT and ECT are usually nothing to worry about on a 6.7, yours does seem high. 2 things that stand out to me is you have a Mishimoto radiator, and you said your oil cooler was replaced.....both of those temps are high. I would check both of those items to make sure they were installed correctly or nothing is blocking them since you said when you stop the temp comes back down. Honestly though, how many miles are on it? You said emissions is still intact, it would be the beginning of a clogged dpf with no codes, as you said it comes back down when you're stopped.

Truck now has almost 220k on it.

Temps were high before radiator and oil cooler.

I replaced factory radiator after a small leak.

I also replaced the oil cooler myself (knowing it wouldn’t help) to see if there was any change.

Yesterday 105* pulling an 18’ bumper pull car hauler @ 70 mph.

EOT 233-235
ECT 220-222

ECT/EOTs have been high for about two years. I looked down one day and say oil temp was 231 running 80mph at 95* never noticed the truck was running warm before then.

Unless you are above 250 i don't really think you have to worry about either right?

Keep in mind I'm a 7.3 owner not a 6.7 guy but neither of those seem like anything to be to worried about.

180/30s,KC38R, CNC Fab Stg 2 HPOP, Sump, Walbro, Donaldson 6637, Leveled, 4'' straight to 7'' tip, 08 mirrors, 6.0 front end ect...
