Does anyone know if this is a after market grille of a custom paint job? Love the look of the black platinum. How would u paint over the plastic chrome?

Considering the pic that's a aftermarket grill. Painting an OEM grill requires patience and following a good process to prep the grill.

I've seen a chrome grill on Amazon like that, but its stuck on with double back tape. I's like one like that to let more air into radiators in stead of the two wide chrome bands.

Accident banged mine up, so I'm keeping the old one to attempt some prep and paint on. I was thinking of just painting the two main bars and the [ ] brackets. I think just rough up with a scotch pad or some fine sand paper and try the Rustoleum rattle cans that claim to bond with plastics. I've had pretty good results with it on mine and kids dirt bikes when i need too. I'll Follow up once I get my truck back.

Looks painted as I’ve seen many from other shops that do color matching. Ain’t cheap.. I had one custom made and it cost $2000.
