Yah thats what I figured id end up doing. I forgot how much room was behind the headlight last time I was in there. Im going to pull them out on Wednesday and start installing the projectors so I'll deal with mounting the ballasts then.

Haha yeah once you go to mounting them you'll find a spot. I need to take mine out and twist the projectors a little because they're not perfectly level but I'm at the beach right now. I just zip tied mine back behind the headlight. I found a little spot they would fit in. On previous trucks I have had to screw them in wherever I could make them fit.

Did you use the mini h1 projectors or another projector?

Yeah I did the mini h1s. When you mount them though you just kind of eye it whether they're level or not when you tighten down the nut on the back, unless you want to mount them without the lenses on so you can see it then. Even after you seal them up though you could get a deep socket on the nut on the back to turn them either way if they are a little off level. Mine are just a little off.

yeah I used the Mini H1 on my bike but was debating on going with the d2s or one of the other projectors since the headlights have more room.

I would do the d2s if I were you. I think they are suppose to have better light output but still mount easy like the mini h1s.

thats what i was thinking because my bike is a single headlight so it wont be as good as two headlights but I still wasnt jaw dropping impressed with the h1 light output

Would love to see a night time comparison pic of the h1s and a 20" bumper mounted light bar. I'm definitely doing the projectors just not sure if I need a light bar or dually d2s too.

just got my $100 rebate from Rancho, after i get back from vacation im going to order the d2s projectors and all the other goodies.

Its interesting to hear that you weren't impressed with the light output of the Mini H1 projectors. I'm extremely impressed. They are actually brighter than my wife's 2013 Lexus. Perhaps the ballast and bulbs make a difference. I'm running Philips ballasts and Osram 4300k bulbs. I would say that my light output is roughly 2x brighter than my wife's Lexus.

On a different note. I love the look of the new Lexus car line-up.
