Has anyone never updated their GPS mapping SD card?

The current card version is A10. You can buy them off eBay for less than $50. I update the card yearly. It is plug and play.

Appears to be some less than $20 now.

Yea...I got one off the Amazon for $35, new in OEM wrapping. I know people like to use Google or Waze, but for $35 seemed like a good reason to not eat out.

Will this card improve the responsiveness of the touch screen?

No, it will not. This is the maps update. What version of Sync is your radio? I think the latest version of Sync2 is 3.10.

I am still using the original card A4. I have always been to cheap to upgrade but for $25 I might. It took multiple tries over several days and multiple curse words to get my sync to upgrade to 3.1, if this is just plug and play I shouldn't have any issues? is that correct?
