Help With Spyder Headlights

Hey guys I got the new Spyder Headlights for my truck, but have a couple of issues.

First, beware anyone that buys them, the aiming is WAY off. The beams hit the ground about 20' in front of my truck. The bummer is that you have to remove the headlights to get to the adjustment screws!!!! What a PITA.

Second issue is that the included bulbs - H7 for low, and H1 for high beam, are about as bright as birthday candles. Spyder says adding LED or Halogen will void the warrantee. At this point, I just want to be able to see at night. Does anyone know of some very cool-running replacement bulbs that hopefully won't melt the lights?

Thanks

John

Good feed back on those, I hate that these china companies take advantage of people but it happens every day.

At this point you are at the intersection of form and function, those lights would probably suck with the brightest bulbs in them.

@Diode Dynamics any thoughts?

Thanks for the shout-out!

At the moment, our H7 and H1 HID Conversion Kits will be our best solution for you. Obviously, our LED headlight bulbs will run cooler and offer a simpler install, but we're still a couple months away from releasing H1 and H7-size LED options.

Full disclosure, we haven't had the chance to test that particular housing, so I'm not sure what the beam pattern would look like with HIDs, or how they respond to heat.

Hey Jake - I actually emailed you guys a month or two ago, and you got back to me saying u didn't;t have those LED bulbs.

But now, if you're saying you actually will have them in a couple of months, I will definitely wait and get those from you when they come out. thanks

Thanks for the support!

I don't yet have a definite ETA from our engineering team, but I'll be posting as soon as I do.
