An app to control your screen

Does anyone make an app to control your screen my stopped working and it sure would be nice if I could turn the seat heaters on and off with an app or something that would mirror the trucks screen anyone know if there is anything like that or I'm I going to just have to buy a new screen

I don't know of any apps. That doesn't mean someone cant write one but it is Sony if I recall correctly. So you might want to try some of the supporters/vendors sections for the Ford dealers that sell OEM parts. They have great pricing for our forum members.

I HIGHLY doubt the software that the touch screen runs has the capibility for remote input via a Bluetooth interface for example. Someone could write an app sure...but even though there's Bluetooth, I doubt itll be able to talk to the onboard computer...the interface just wouldn't be there.

Just thinkin out loud...thinkin buying a new screen would be best.

Warranty?

I like where your heads at, there are apps that will control accessories like lights or fans, but nothing like what you are asking.

Please report back when you figure this one out.

Just for fun... I went out and plugged a mouse into the USB port... "No Device Connected" was the result.

I wonder if plugging in a USB Host adapter cable in first and then plugging a mouse into that would yield any results like it does on android phones? Probably not, but I like screwing with things, lol

An app to control your screen

Just something to keep in mind, my touchscreen went dead a month after I bought it.

Talked to the service tech that fixed it, he said that the digitizers go bad in the SD left and right from the factory. Took him 5 minutes to replace it, no problems since.

Edit: Bumped an old thread, sorry.
