2013 Sync with NAV traffic issues

So supposedly the nav will automatically update the route if their is traffic from SiriusXM traffic.
I have never had any luck with it rerouting me all it does it give me the no traffic time and then when I select a route it figures it with traffic and never reroutes. Anyone else have this issue?

It doesn't automatically reroute you. When an alert pops up, it gives you 3 different options. If I remember correctly, 1 is to ignore the alert, 2 is to reroute and I don't remember the 3rd.

You have to choose which option you want.

An alert never pops up. Is that a setting I need to put on?

Do you have an address loaded in you NAV that you are going to? I believe this only works when you are navigating a route to a destination you entered.

Every time. I use the navigation for everything.

I think that there is a button in one of the menus that you can push to recieve traffic info even when not using the Nav and just looking at the map.

Do you have rerouting set to manual or automatic ?
