Trailer brake controller replacement

I cant find anywhere, where theres a how to replace the trailer brake control module next to the upfitters ?

Ive been getting a "trailer brake control module fault" on my productivity screen. I can squeeze the controller but it doesnt do anything......at all lol

Have you confirmed its not the trailer or the harness

Theres no trailer hooked to it, and before the problem, it was several months before a trailer was ever hooked to it. I havent really looked at the harness, i wouldnt know where to start unless go from the rear and just look for broke wires or what ? But if that was the case wouldnt it have blown a fuse first ?
