Glad you got your truck fixed still find it hard to believe the AC compressor had enough drag to cause your problems. Your 4 cylinder Honda yes a V8 Diesel no.

Just looked at the start date of the thread in the time it took him to find out it was his AC compressor/ clutch I have gone through 2. Took the original one out when I replaced some lines and the condenser then replaced the new one 2 months later when I realized it was leaking freon. Just my luck.

The EGR does to your engine what smoking does to your lungs.

I've seen them lock up and cause a sluggish no start.

She fires up a lot quicker and smoother now. If the ac didn't crap the bed I would still be hunting this thing. I can't believe the ac was still functioning correctly.

There was an intermittent sound, though it would never be present when I went to find it.

The colder weather also exposed another underlying issue, my swamps 58v FICM I got in 09 is passing away. I started it and the ficm voltage was sitting in the low 30s once it fired.

Let me know if we can help with the FICM issue. I'd recommend a solidly rebuild 48V FICM though. We can certainly convert that one back to 48V when we rebuild it or leave it at 58V if you want. We can load a PHP tune into as well if you want. Our FICMs come with a 5 year warranty on the whole module.

I am going to have a couple powerstroke people drive this thing. While the compressor helped substantially and it now starts in freezing weather very well without being plugged in, something just feels off still. I am going to get a second and third opinion on this.

I still see 900-950 degrees cruising egts with a low fuel tune and the weather is quite cool now. Anyone have an opinion on when a 62/68/.88 should start to build USEABLE boost?

In park idling:
RPM:630-643
ECT:184
EOT:173
Load:25-26%
PW: .65-1.02
ICP:.8-.9

In drive not moving:
RPM:629-647
ECT:184
EOT:173
Load:55-58%
PW: 1.07-1.46
ICP:.8-.9

Does anyone see any issue with these numbers? I am still having some drag feeling issues. I bought some gears to build an axle, will be a little bit before that is done. I will also be dropping the trans pan this weekend as it's time to change fluid and filters. I will get these numbers while driving this evening.
