Oil leak

Bought an 04 powerstroke back in June of this year. Purrs like a kitten. Have noticed in the last couple months there is a slow oil drip. Sometimes the puddle is as big as a soft ball. There have been no changes in pressure or temp and it still purrs like a kitten. We haven't been able to find where the leak is coming from. Was wondering if it could be a seal from the oil cooler. Any feed back would be helpful!! Thank all!!!

Could be coming from literally 15-20 places. Gotta climb all over the top of the engine and give it a thorough looky-loo with a telescoping mirror and a bright light.

Is it an early or late 04 (is your ICP on the passenger valve cover or behind the turbo on the HPOP next to the IPR?)? If it's early model, the ICP sensors are prone to leaking.

like jokester said have to trace it back to the source. If that doesn't work, you have to clean it up, let it leak and trace back to the source. There's a UV die kit.

Mine leaks a drop or two a day. I don't worry about that. A softball sized leak in a day, I would. If mine sits a month, I might get a softball sized leak, which I don't worry about.

I say the same thing except I'd clean it first. Putting it on jack stands and pulling the front wheel and wheel well of the side that it leaks on will give you a good view of the engine's side.
