Cruise control not working on my 2005

I switched out the brake pedal switch on the master cylinder and the rear diff ABS sensor. Still won't work. The light does not illuminate on the dash. The A/C and radio controls work on the other side of the steering wheel. What is correct way to diagnose the cause?

Is there a fuse for CC?

If the master cylinder pressure switch leaks (this is the switch that shuts off the cruise control when the brake is applies), it can cause corrosion on the wiring that shuts off the cruise control. Check that and if it looks ok, it might be the clock spring.

But will a clock spring be bad, if all the other functions on the steering wheel work?

There is a resistance value sent to the controller to activate the different cruise functions
odd setup I know, but that is what it is

I would think this could be measured at the controller to verify the clock spring and switches
you could then simulate the proper resistance to activate the controller

just need to find that wiring diagram

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

Found a wiring diagram that may help --
shows the cruise switches with resistor values
trying to troubleshoot this part would rule out the switches and clock spring

I had the same problem. I replaced the switch on the master cylinder and still no cruise. Got the multi meter out and had no 12 volts at the switch. All the fuses were good. So I ran a separate wire for the 12 volts to the switch. All good now.

if i am reading your post correctly, you bypassed the clock spring. replace it.
