03 6.0 no turbo whistle at idle

I recently purchased a new truck has 3.5" straight pipe egr delete looney tune. I can't figure out why it's not whistling at idle has plenty of boost when in the throttle and plenty of power

Might be the tune. Some people ask the tune writers to keep their vanes open at idle (i.e. no throttle) so they don't have the hair dryer jet sound. You could probably contact the tune writer and they can find out if that's the case.

I have contacted my tune writer and he wrote me a new tune which didn't fix the issue and i also returned the truck to stock which also didn't fix it the vgt duty cycle is at 65-67% at idle while my tuner said he set it to 75%

Hmmmm...

Does your VGT ever hit 15% or 85% when you're driving around?

there is an ECU re-learn after each tune switch.

also plenty of boost and power does not mean the turbo is cycling.

I just tried unplugging the vgt solenoid and when I unplugged it there was no whistle at all and when I plugged it back in there is a slight whistle but not as loud as it should be at all especially for a 03 I'm thinking it could possibly be the ebp sensor

My stock 2003 does not whistle at idle. Didn’t know it was suppose to. Usually mine is most noticeable at about 5lbs of boost.
