Turbo heating up

Question, 06 F250. When after engine heats up I notice my boost pressure goes up to 20 or 25 and when accelerating again the boost maxs out and throws a code. Any ideas of cause or is turbo going bad??

I can't help but I am glad to see you took the advice to start your own thread. At a minimum I can give you a bump to the top. If you get lucky, someone like @LoxDiesel , @djmaguire , @bismic , or any of the other fine folks that I can't remember right now, chime in here.

Good luck, and welcome.

Questions...

  • What code - precisely - is being generated?
  • Does this truck have a catalytic converter?
  • What is the map pressure KOEO?
  • When your truck is hot and the boost is high, does it make a difference to the MAP reading if you take a stick and push on, hit, and/or otherwise mistreat the goofy wire holder protruding from the rear edge of the engine compartment immediately above the turbo?
