2006 6.0 PSD Turbo problems after muffler install
I’m tired of getting pulled over for my exhaust so I decided to throw a muffler and smaller tip on my truck, before I had a 4 inch straightpipe from the turbo back to an 8 inch tip. I threw a Walker BTM on it and a 5 inch tip.
After starting it up it ran fine sitting there and sounded rather good but after going down the road and back I noticed I was making 1.5 pounds of boost sitting still at idle, so I revved it up and it came back down to my normal 0.5-0.7 pounds at idle but after a couple seconds you could hear it spook back up to 1.5 pounds.
It doesn’t seem to affect my throttle response but it is quite annoying and seems like it would hurt my turbo in the long run.
Any ideas on what would cause this?
