So I was getting 200-300 psi and the ipr at 85%. Pull the icp and I get 1500 psi. So I replaced the icp. It’s doing the same thing ??? Any help ? I’m gonna go mad

By "pull the ICP" do you mean disconnect it?

An ICP problem is usually indicated by error codes. You didn't happen to read the codes, did you?

Depending on the year of your truck, the ICP is probably fine and you have an HPOP leak. ...or maybe a failed IPR valve.

Answer the questions above and tell us the year of the truck and we can go from there.

And it’s a 2003 . I have the valve covers off and don’t see any oil squirting out anywhere from the rails.

With your year, symptoms, and lack of codes, I'd start by looking closely at the IPR valve and IPR valve wiring. Here is a link to a thread on harness chafing:

https://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-...s-chafing.html

...that may help.

The IPR% raising is the PCM commanding the IPR valve to close to build pressure. If the IPR valve wiring is shorted or the valve is stuck, the PCM will keep upping the IPR% until it hits 85% (fully closed). In that way, an injection harness, IPR valve pigtail, or IPR valve issue can mimic an HPOP leak.

Start by looking at the wiring/connector because it is simple.

This just happened all a sudden, or have you been having long cranks hard start?

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

Well I did a bunch of work . But it wasn’t doing it before. The harness isn’t in great shape. If the ipr was bad would have these symptoms? I’ll order one anyway. I think I’ll replace the harness too . Have any idea where to order ?
So if I do the wiring harness, new icp and Ipr I then am guessing hpop? Again I don’t see leaks on the rails
Thanks everyone for helping

Check base oil. Remove the filter and depress the drain valve at the bottom of the tower while cranking the engine. Do this hot. Tower should fill in under ten seconds.

Does it start fine hot?
If so, you're probably looking at an hpop.

The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.
