2004 HPOP

I am slowly learning about my 6.0. I have learned that there is no STC fitting in the 2004 HPOP. My question is there a weak link in the HPOP on the 2004? I guess the HPOP is prone to failure or wear. So by monitoring this pressure and you see failure as the pressure drops over time? If it does fail what is the upgrade or is there one?
Thanks so much I love this forum. Has saved me a ton.

When I had my early 04 it was a 03 motor it doesn't have the stc fitting never had a problem with it but stand pipes Orings will cause issues or dummy plugs due to Orings falling the newer engine has taflon type Orings , other then that their is 2 type of pumps for your style and the 05 ND up size and ECT.. newer wont fit in your truck due to lid plate all symptoms include Crank no start.... Man I don't miss my 6.0

There is no STC fitting on the '03-'04 HPOPs as you said. If it's an early '04, there's also no standpipes or dummy plugs. Late '04s had them along with the wavy oil rails. The early pumps are not as robust as the '05+ pumps and are a bit more subject to failure. Monitoring the pressures will help diagnose a problem, but not necessarily the cause. If you're having a problem, an air test will help pin down the problem.
