I'd tried to make adapters for the mirrors them selves however, the only way to get the 05 side is through the ford repair pigtails (Can not seem to locate the individual pins, I did find the connectors though but you have to order a MASSIVE minimum of them) and those wires are JUST BARELY too big to fit into the connectors/pins I got from mouser, No way in h*ll can you get 2 wires into the one for the common left/right/up/down wire. Due to how I'd tried to do it i figured i'd remake them but since I had everything working (although I do have to fix the polarity with the open/close fold button which will affect the left/right up/down movement) I haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm getting ready to tackle this...is there a way to test a mirror that is not installed on a truck to verify all of the functions operate properly before purchasing?

These came in today, I'm still gathering up the rest of the parts.

I have a question, are these the connectors that plug right into the mirror? thanks....

Hope to get this one done in the next week or two.

I already have the 2014 PF/PT mirrors mounted on the truck,
but not connected currently.

I'm attempting what I mentioned in a previous post, using the same type of switch as the power sliding rear window for my PT.
The switch will be mounted in the bezel between the mirror switch and power window master switch.

I think I've finally wrapped my head around all the wiring diagram info.

Thanks to all contributors in this thread, especially the OP.

Yes, using my wiring diagram, find the wires for the power fold and power telescope. Then just apply +12V to them. Just reverse polarity to test the opposite movement.

Ok, thanks. The mirrors tested all good. I've gathered all of the necessary parts including the OEM extend switch. I'm hoping to find a location for it to keep the OEM look. My last resort is to put it next to the power pedal switch. I know it's an undermount switch which of course complicates things.

I'm hoping to mount the power extend switch exactly like you did. Any tips? Looks relatively simple, cut the hole and epoxy the frame for the switch to the gauge bezel.

Has anyone used the OEM power extend switch in an 05-07 truck yet? I have a full 2012 interior so I already have the switches and pigtails...just looking for wiring schematic confirmation.

I have my mirrors installed on the truck with the extra wiring run through the dash for the power functions, just need to wire them up. I am good to go on everything aside from using the OEM power fold switch which I haven't seen anyone use yet.

Thanks!

Switch part number

Getting ready to tackle this, lots of great information. Anyone know the part number for the OEM power sliding switch people are using for the mirror extend. I would like to put this in the bezel.

Thanks

Got everything run and wired up but can't seem to get the power fold/power telescoping to work. All 'normal' mirror functions work (L/R, U/D, lights, heat, etc) but I think I am messing up the relay wiring somehow. Can you steal power from the existing power wire (in the mirror harness) for the relay power, or does it have to be on its own circuit?

TIA!

Got this sorted last night and now have FULLY functioning mirrors with all OEM components (I have 08+ door panels installed). Couldn't be happier with the outcome and the mirrors are a substantial upgrade from a viewing area perspective.

Thanks to all for posting the 'how-to' info...don't think I could've done it without
