Muffler delete pipe for stock exhaust help

My buddy just bought the 06 ford f350 diesel6.0. He just wants to take off the muffler 7 buy a tip for the stock exhaust. Unlike me I kinda went cheap & changed mine to 4 inch straight after the cat with MPBR stuff. He likes my whistle sound. Does anyone know if just taking the stock muffler off will make a whistle on the 06? Mine is an 03 & I know they sound pretty loud. Where can he get a stock muffler delete pipe? All I can find are 4".

It'll sound better but he'll never have the same awesome f-16 whistle that your '03 has. I called every dealer in Houston and finally found one who welded a 4" muffler delete pipe in for me. Now I've lost my cat too and I got that delete pipe from DiscountPowerParts. It's wicked without the cat and I can hear the whistle MUCH better but with the difference's in the turbos, he'll never get the same sound as yours.

jsut taking the cat off shouldnt..but some trucks do set a CEL with open exhausts due to not enough backpressure at idle...and with the latest programming, EGR is flowing at idle...
