Question Early Lockup - How's it work?

I recently got an early lockup tune. I have an edge CTS2 and it only shows locked converter in 5th and 6th like this tune has normally been. It feels like it doesn't lock until 5th either. It shifts 1-2-3-5-5L-6L. I have tested throttle position and Tow Haul too, they don't make a difference. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe the Edge isn't showing it locked in 3rd, but it should to my knowledge.

That’s how my 6.0 tunes have been in all three trucks. It’s early compared to the factory. I think it’s perfect for the 6.0s
