Transgo

To those who have installed a Transgo kit in the 5r110w, what’s your opinion of the kit? Has anybody installed the Transtar kit? One better then the other? I’m asking because I want to increase the durability of the transmission before I do a ecm tune.

I have transgo. After a rebuild with a tugger kit it had real bad shift flares, pulled VB out and put sonnax parts in it. Made it live able, really Im just waiting for the whole tranny to take a dump so I can get a BTS or twisted diesel tranny

That’s unfortunate, Transgo usually makes top notch shift kits. Do you know why the shift kit caused the flare ups?

I have a new trans go kit. But it looks like pump internals. Nothing for the VB. I planned on using it, but found out its not compatible w the upgraded shift solenoids. It’s available if you are interested PM me.

No idea if it’s what you want though.

Thanks for the offer but it seems like there’s to many problems with the Transgo shift kit and with having to remove the pump, I think I’ll leave it alone.
