Looking at 05 6.0

Hello I'm looking at a 2005 ex that's bulletproofed. is there somebody on here that can look up the carfax or oasis report on it? https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/cto/d/san-antonio-2005-ford-excursion-eddie/6864744905.html. 1fmsu45p25ea57770. Hope the link works. Also if anybody wants to chime in and tell me what you think. He went down to 20k. I still think that's a little high

I’m confused on the use of “bulletproof” with no mention of the egr cooler or oil cooler. I think that term gets miss used a lot.

It’s a nice looking truck! I have an 04 with some of the same upgrades. After looking for a looong time, I’d say $20,000 isn’t too far off. They’re hard to find in decent shape.

Maybe it's the over-cautious-nish in me, but I would get the paperwork on the bulletproof and then check out the shop for any ill-reviews. For 20k, it better have gone through the motions...for me.

Just purchased an 05 last year. I bought mine for 9K with 120K miles but it isn't bulletproofed but they did just replace the EGR cooler and the oil cooler. About a month later the glow plugs went so I guess I am just not that lucky.

Initial impressions is that I have enjoyed it. Took it on a 1700 mile round trip and it performed well. It also included a number of sub 10 degree cold starts without any problem.

A 20K price puts it in the 7.3L category of excursions but given the challeneges of the 6.0 vs. the 7.3 I don't know if it worth that much. Again it depends on the scale of the bulletproofing and the state of the rest.
