MUD FLAPS, a bit O.C.D.? maybe...

So i have gone on a mud flap kick...tired of flinging rocks at my enclosed trailer when moving down the road.
And my buddy goes and calls me O.C.D. !!

What? No Yosemite Sam???

People are like dirt. They can either nourish you and help you grow as a person or they can stunt your growth and make you wilt and die.

No, I donít think ocd plays a part. Even with diamond plate on the lower portion of the trailer, chips are inevitable without flaps. I just repainted the nose of my trailer because it had 2 rock chips.

I got them from Amazon...about 45 bucks a set.
my gasser i could bolt off the frame with custom made brackets.
On the diesel I had to weld angle off the trailer hitch as the fat exhaust tip was in the way.

DuraFlap is having a Labor Day Sale this weekend.
Take a look at them. They attach without drilling inside the fender well. Not only do they protect your trailer they also save your truck from rock chips.
The front mud flap protect the front and side and keep the mud and snow off the running boards. No more slipping off on that first step or getting mud up the back of your pant legs.

If you miss the sale, as a forum member you can still save 10%. Just enter the forum name and your member name under comments when you complete the questionnaire. Then you can use the code word member .

I just pulled my stock flaps off to put on hangers like these.

Amazing how expensive a chunk of rubber is.

YEP, pretty pricey it seems for 2 panels of rubber/plastic. I tried using a welcome mat from Lowes first. It seemed heavy enough but way too flexible so it sailed big time. it was only 7 bucks so worth the attempt. Also tried barn floor "horse mats"...still too light and "saily" so I bit the bullet and bought real flaps.
