I forgot to say I add it off just about 6 months ago to replace the filter. I have been running about a 75% blend of biodiesel.

The stock plastic cap is a POS. I went to change my fuel filters this afternoon and saw that it was already in rough shape so sure enough one little tug and the dam thing broke. All the local auto parts shops have to order a replacement and they are anywhere from 60-80 bucks. I just order the billet one for 50.

When removing and replacing these caps, the favourable method is to use a 15/16" socket instead of the 1/2" square drive. Also resist the temptation to overtighten the caps. This will reduce the likelihood of damage. Yes, I agree these caps are very cheap in quality though.:twocents:
