Bad FICM computer cause low oil pressure?

Hi, I have a question about my truck(03 F350). No start issue.
when I disconnect the FICM, the high pressure can go to 800 or 1000 PSI when cracking.
but when I plug FICM in, now matter how I crank, I can only get ~400psi. hence now start.
The FICM voltage is good at 48.5 and FICM sync is 1.

Initially, with old injectors, if I unplug 2 injectors from driver side with FICM plug in, the truck can start and run but very rough. So, I thought I have injector leaks, I replaced all four driver side injectors. With new injectors, I can't start at all with FICM plug in.

I am thinking I have a bad FICM computer and is messing up with injector timing cause lower high pressure PSI, Is this even possible? Or my issue is really a weak HPOP pump? If it's the HPOP pump, why I can get 1000psi without FICM plug in?

Thanks.

Please get the ICP pressure, ICP voltage, ICP desired, and IPR % duty cycle when cranking.

Do this with and without the FICM plugged in.

quick update, I think my issue is still HPOP, it's not consistent each time I check the ICP pressure. it works sometimes and sometimes not...

I plan to replace a new HPOP and check it again when get a chance...

will update here later.

Didn't want to post data? It can help prevent spending unnecessary $$'s.

Also, an air test can usually help pinpoint issues in the high pressure oil system.

No, not that I don't want to post data. It's that when I go back to record the data with/without FICM plugged in, I barely getting any pressure on either case anymore. It's very strange. I was able to get the engine running roughly before and getting high pressure from ICP without FICM plugged in also.

I don't have air hose IPR tool nor I can't get the IPR valve off the truck. as you can see, I am a newbie just messing around.

So, my conclusion is that I have a HPOP that was kind of working but due to my cranking, went completely dead. I am going to replace a new HPOP but it's going to take me a while to able to take the turbo off.

it's really a work in progress...

You are going to need to get the IPR valve out one-way-or-another. I would pull it first and inspect/test. While it is out - get the test fitting and do an air test.

Getting the HPOP out isn't nearly as easy as the IPR removal.

One reason I asked for ICP volts is that it might help explain the low/variable pressure .......

Here is with FICM plugged in: FICM Sync=1 FMP=49 voltes, HPOP= 9.1 PSI , IPR 83.9% ICP-V 0.2 volts, MAP -0.2 PSI.

without FICM plugged in, the number is basicly the same except FMP=0 volts.

Were you cranking when you took the data?
