Metal in oil pan

Hello Everyone,
Today while doing an oil change I found a piece of metal attached to the magnetic drain plug. Does anyone have an idea what this is or where it came from? The truck is a 2005 f350 with around 146,000 miles on it. thanks in advance for the help!

Looks like part of a tool someone dropped
what is that clip on the end supposed to hold?
like a driver or magnet?

Almost looks like the end off a control rod, where the ball joint connects
but there is not anything like that inside the engine

In my defense, I was unsupervised

For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

lol I was just looking for hex drive flex shaft but the part looks too small

I agree the clip looks like the one that holds a BB for tool retention
