P0261 after alternator and batteries changed.

I was having charging issues so I replaced alternator and batteries. Now I got the p0261 code. It idols rough and lacks power. I checked ficm it show 48.3 key off and 48.2 while running. Any other suggestions before I swap out 4 injectors?

You posted one injector code (#1 injector), so why are you thinking you need to change 4 injectors?

Be aware that low voltage kills the FICM. It can kill the logic board such that you have good FICM voltages, but it really isn't working properly.

I am GUESSING from the 4 injector comment that your FICM needs to be rebuilt. If so, use FICMrepair.com

I just figured while I was in there I would change all four at the same time. The truck has 95000 miles

95K is really nothing for a set of injectors, assuming you ran clean fuel.

How was the truck running prior to replacing batteries and alternators. I'm with @bismic on that one as far as your FICM and FICMrepair.com. I had Ed repair mine in 2011 and it still holding strong. Great customer service too!

When I got it running after charging batteries it ran like it should. No issues. I will try a ficm first. I always thought if voltage was good then ficm was good. I am leaning thank you.

Any way to test the logic board side without sending it in?

I guess a buzz test will sort of do the job, not definitive though.

I will change some things out early - just because. Injectors are too expensive for that. 217k miles on my original injectors - still good.

The #1 killer of injectors is low fuel pressure. Every 6.0L owner needs a fuel pressure gauge.

You can test the FICM

PM me and I'll send you some docs to test since I can't seem to get
the link to work.
