Wrist pin failure.

Just wanted to share this post to all you guys I found out where my knock was coming from, dropped the oil pan found a wrist pin retaining clip in the oil pan so I pulled passenger side head off and found a massive groove in the block, when I removed the piston the wrist pin fell apart. Pics below if anyone wants to take a look. Motor is a complete loss.

Ouchie ...sorry for your loss

Cant say I ever seen one that bad -- usually starts from a bent connecting rod, makes the top end sway back and forth wearing out the wrist pin area

Could have the block sleeved to fix that cylinder

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

Like @Hydro said, you can sleeve that hole, with a new piston and rod and be good to go.

That sucks though. That's the one bad thing with floating pins rather than press fit
