Just unclick them, there should be a lock on the three connections.

Was a tune installed when you took it in?

No tune installed. I returned it to stock before dropping it off. But it was connected when I picked it up so there's no telling what those guys did. I will try resetting the connectors.

disconnect the batteries. set your meter to resistance. measure across pins 14 and 6. you should see either 60 or 120 ohms

The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.

I wonder if they damaged the PCM or corrupted the tune. I saw you mentioned a damaged OBD 2 cable.

@Deer Creek

Any updates?

I was thinking of a PCM failure myself, or something the shop did with your tuner..

Not sure what they did but after their complete and utter failure it brings in to question everything they did. I was able to find a reputable Diesel shop that has lots of experience with the 6.0 PS. Owner said he would run diagnostics on it and let me know where we go from there. I told him with the lack of competency on the part of the other shop I would feel much better him tearing into it and putting it back together right. That way I have peace of mind that it was done right. I will keep you posted on how it goes.

I've been documenting everything so I'm wondering what the first chitty shop owner is gonna say when I show up with the bill from the new shop. I'm hoping he will make it right like he said he would. They stuck me for over $4k including labor and parts so I'm thinking this go around with the new shop will be somewhere around $1,500 plus the $60 tow to get it there. I'm gonna drive up and hand the first shop owner a copy of the repair bill and see if he cuts me a check. If not I guess the next stop is at the attorneys office and then to the better business bureau. I hate to go that route. I should have known something was up when they started asking me to pay before the truck was picked up.

Wish me luck and stay Diesel!

I'd like to hear what happens. My opinion is for a $1500 bill, you will not get much out of the attorney unless you give him the whole settlement. I think that amount is small claims court.

BBB and Google Reviews are good stops.

I hope this new guy can fix it at a reasonable rate.

Hopefully he is using comon sense and realizes that it's most likely a redo job completely and it's 1500 MORE the the other shop charged. 5500 is about right.....now the issue will be what other damage they caused. If it needs a motor then this is definitely NOT a small claims case. We have had to do this exact same thing with some "shops" that can do these "cheap". This is why I always am in these threads preaching to research the shop BEFORE you drop the rig off!!

I like lamp...
