Titan Fuel Tank/ MPG

My brother picked up a 19 platinum F-150 powerstroke. It gets about 25 miles to the gallon(18 when pulling a small trailer) or so, but i am convincing him to get a replacement Titan Tank so that I don't always have to stop and wait for him to fill up on our way down south. What is everyone else getting MPG wise when pulling? He pulls a double axle trailer with just a CJ jeep on it. I would expect it to do slightly better when pulling than 18.

wait... are you asking if the tank helps MPGs?

In theory it would just be more weight he is trying to move/stop

considering the research showing it was rated for 19 city and 24 highway that's really good fuel economy. I get about 14 towing a 4runner on a car trailer with my 1999 7.3l The 3.0l f150s have tremendous fuel economy and luxury boost in comparison. I wouldn't be complaining about that at all.

Theoretically a large tank would reduce the times stopped increasing the highway drive time that COULD lead to an ever so slight in overall trip mpg I don't see it worth it. Pickups see the biggest mpg improvement from two factors:

A.drive style-lighter throttle, slower cruising speed etc.
B. Aeromods-tonneau cover, air dam, low resistance tires, etc

-99 F250, 4X4, 6.0 trans cooler, 08 mirrors, 05 grill, AIS Intake, lvl kit, JW Vbody, cncfab hpop lines, WW2.

No, obviously not. I was pointing out that Titan has a tank and it will help with long distance trips. I was also asking what everyone else is doing to improve the MPG on the 3.0L

I am not relating the tank to MPG. It was a two sided post. 1. Titan has a tank for these and it looks awesome for long trips 2. was wondering what real users of the truck are getting MPG wise. Not asking if the tank will improve mpg

That Titan tank will not be out for the market for at least another month or two.
