5 yr old nephew in excavator

took one of my firefighters kids to work today. its spring break and his mom hasn't been feeling well so with my job he can go and not cause problems.
I was just hauling material to a greenhouse but got some of the stripping chunks stuck in the truck and had to walk the excavator up to get them out. then I didn't want to take the tractor back and walk back up again to get the truck so I showed Aidan (5 years old) how to drive the excavator back to the loading spot and I drove behind him
He did great for 5!

That young man has a bright future ahead of him!! The small ones can really surprise you some times. When my son was 5 I was taking two lawnmowers to make one that would run. I took parts off of both and had them sort of organized there on the porch. I was engrossed in what I was doing so I did not notice him even being there. Well I looked up and the little scrapper had reassembles on of the motors, I was speechless. GOTTA LOVE THE KIDS!!!
