Help for Valentine's Day?!

I have found that one special guy - no joke!
Tomorrow, Valentine's Day, will mark two months from the date he asked me to marry him. Originally, he planned on giving me a family heirloom ring. When seeing about getting it sized to fit, he was told what the actual value of the ring was (way more than just an heirloom!) Feeling disappointed that his fiancee had no ring on her finger, he took me to the store and let me pick my own out. I'm not a "flashy" girl and I prefer to get my hands greasy under the hood right next to my fiance, so I naturally picked out a fairly cheap ring (it was like $125 on sale from the jewelers or something.)
Now, finances are extremely tight right now, and this all occurred as he enrolled in school for another year of mechanics. Anyway...its been two months and I still don't have a ring.
There's been several hints dropped within the last week concerning the condition of "my ring". I can't imagine where he got the money to buy it, but I'm seriously excited about the idea of finally having it.
So...if the man truly is in love with me (there isn't a doubt in my mind) what do you guys out there feel the chances are of him scrounging up the money to get the ring for Valentine's Day are?

The follow-up, as asked:

No flowers. No ice cream, chocolate, teddy bears or movies. Nada.
Nothing.
And especially...no ring.

Oh, I WAS told that I "couldn't" pull his truck out of a parking spot.

*shrug* I don't know.

Time to go shopping .... for a new boyfriend.
This one has gotten "comfortable" with the current situation,
and will take no action to move unless made "uncomfortable".

Unsolicited
