Dude, it's already started. Had a kid show up at the front door the other day asking for my older daughter.

Asked what he wanted with her and he replied, "I just want to talk to her."

I told him he could see her at school the next day.

His face fell to sidewalk and he said, "ok."

I said, "I think you meant to say, 'yes, sir.' If you're going to be talking to my daughter you'd best learn to be respectful, or we're going to have a real problem."

His eyes got all big and he said, "yes, sir," and slunk his way down the driveway.

Yeesh. 9, it's the new 13.

But cute! One of the great mysteries of all time right there....

Yeah, it's getting to be ridiculous. My wife works in a pediatric hospital. They are required to run pregnancy tests on all female patients ages 9 and up. And that policy was put in place after they had a 9 year old turn up pregnant. Scary!!!

I went through that this last week with my 9 year old. Went and picked her up from school to find out she is "going out" with a boy. It was real hard to bite my tongue.
