Movie warning

A lot of us have kids and I saw the advertisement for this movie last week and thought it looked good. I got this info from my sister this morning and won't be going to see it!

yeah i can understand that - of course my children arent old enough to set still in a movie so no worries here -

I've read some things about the author - i just wondered how "anti" Christ his stuff really comes across- knowing the hidden meaning is one thing - i just wonder how blatant he is...

It appears that he is totally against God and any beliefs in him. What is scarier is that he has received awards for his books as best childrens reading. Naming the Trilogy-"His Dark Material" would be the first concern I would have in letting my kids read his books. You just have to go with your better judgement.

I really am amazed at how they are advertising the movie making it such a kids movie and really looking entertaining. Like I said earlier I was totally ready to go see it. Looks good but I don't think so.

I for one wouldn't listen to some rambling email from someone you don't know. As far as you could tell, the email could have originated from someone who the author fired!

USE YOUR BETTER JUDGEMENT!! Don't be the sheep that simply follows. If your interested in taking your children to see it, GO SEE IT FIRST BY YOURSELF. That way you can form your own educated opinion on it, look for "hidden" messages etc...
If you determine the email was wrong, take the kids for a good Christmas time movie.
If Nicole Kidman is in it, chances are the rumors are false, however she was a Scientologist when she was married to Tom Cruise, so you never know!

I got the email from my sister and snopes is pretty reputable. I've also heard several radio shows cover the topic over the last week.
