Sewing machine table ideas...

Ok, I know of no other place to put this....

but my wife wants a sewing room/reading nook for her christmas present. so, I am turning one of the bedrooms upstairs into that. I have the sewing machine already. I need ideas for some sewing and work tables. do I make it in the shape of an L to sit in the corner and put a grid cutting mat on one end and then put the machine towards the other end? or do i make it two seperate tables and have the sewing machine on its own table thats the same height as the other table so it can match up side by side and put a leaf on the sewing machine side to meet it? its a 15x15 room approx. I am making one wall full of book shelves so she can read in her papa-san chair and have her books up there too. so it wont take up a lot of room.

what are some of you guys' wives set ups? let me know. thanks!
