I need help with ideas
My wife is turning 30 and I want to throw a suprise party but I can't come up with anything
![]() My problem is, her birthday is on March 17th/St. Patricks day. So I need to come up with something that will keep the focus off of excessive drinking and green beer. Any ideas would be appreciated! |

My wife has the same birthday. We have always embraced St. Patties day rather than triy to differentiate from it. She likes to say that everyone celebrates her birthday..... for proof, just look around the bar at the crowd!
If you really want to stay away from a st. patty theme, have the party at home, make it clear to the guests that it is a Birthday party.... not a St. Patties party and hope for the best. Might be good ot have it on the weekend before instead of on St. Patties day. |

Thanks for the suggestions Chris. I got together with a couple of her friends and we have a good plan going now. My wife is bummed because there isn't anything planned. A lot of her friends are going to Chicago for St. Patty's day, well she thinks any way. I'll take my wife to dinner, in the mean time her friends that are supposed to be out of town will be decorating our house in a St. Patty's day 30th birthday theme. Hopefully we can pull it off!

I always wanted to take the wife to Savannah for St. Patties - havent gotten to do it yet, but maybe one year soon. |
