valentines day gift

alright guys and gals, i need help fast. i gotta come up with a gift for valentines day, i already got reservations at a nice resturaunt, but money is tight so i was thinkin something hand-made, i have access to a woodshop with almost any tool available, just need ideas. can ya help?

i made my girl a jewlery box i have pics on the home computer

if you could get pics up that would be awsome, i was thinkin a wood heart made outta black walnut, just not sure what to put on it

haah yeah i could but mine comes empty . it's up to her to fill it up

i had a piece of purple hear (kind of wood) cut it into a heart shape and routed out a 3 1/2 in hole, made a top and routed it as well. the top will have a small plague that I'm having made. drilled a hole and put a brass rod into it so it swings open, but you can also remove the top if you want. oiled it up with tung oil. lined the inside with felt and put felt on the bottom.

speaking of this i need to go add another coat

my other idea was to make a heart and turn it into a picture frame

I know this isn't the most fun idea but i know that the way to my fiancé's heart is I will come home early and clean the house ( everything vacuum, the bathrooms, the kitchen, dust etc.) I do this and a nice dinner and one of her favorite movies that way she can just relax when she gets home from work. Just and idea that is cheap

I don't know about your girl, but mine prefers letter over store bought cards and me to cook over going out - i like that one too, but because I don;t like spending money. If she will you could cook some of your venison - if you have any left.

well, thought it over, and i'm gonna do a picture frame outta walnut, use a router to put hearts in the frame itself, then put a good picture of her daughter( her world) in the frame for her, but that heart jewelry box is an awsome idea too, i'll deffinately keep that in mind
