P.I.T.A wife rant

How many of you have a wife/gf that thinks every little mod is gonna ruin the truck? I just did the high idle mod on my 06 w/upfitters. Just connecting two wires, thats it. She thinks if Ford wanted it done to the truck, they would have done it. For the life of me, I can't convince her that it won't hurt anything. One more thing, for those of you in the same boat, how do you convince her that an EGR delete and tunes will actually make the truck more reliable?

Ummmm....I'm up front with my wife. It works better for me that way. Everyone needs to figure out what works for them.

AND there is reciprocity - When you buy a mod, buy her a 'mod' (something you know she wants) Then she'd see an upside to your modding and maybe overlook the "What if you mess something up" part. Just a thought.

For me, I have an alternative - At my work, if we don't use all of our vacation or personal absence time, I can sell it back. So...when "I" pay for the mods (not coming out of the checking account), it's easy for me to let her know what I'm doing.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. My Gf is all for the modding of the truck. She wants to help and learn how to do it. On a side note to quote her "I love the smell of diesel".

I hear ya man. fortunately my wife has horses and we needed the truck to haul horses. When her and her dad decided they needed to get a 6horse trailer with living quarters I needed more power to get it down the road..... haha. Leverage is the key to marital bliss. haha

Now when it comes to buying bird dogs i have a secret......... who can say no to a puppy haha
