Getting Married

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an engagement ring. My gf and I have been together for five years now and she just graduated from her undergrad at Ole Miss. I still have three semesters left at Alabama, but we wouldn't actually get married until after school. I'm looking for any advice or words of wisdom from those of you that have done this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do not let her eat the wedding cake!!!!!! They put something in that stuff, and you will get cut off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does take a few days to take effect.......

Been Married for 6 years now and no major complaints other than above.

Another hint, Make a "man cave" you will spend a lot of time in there, you will always be in the doghouse, no matter what you do, even yes dear, it is never enough. Be like me and just give up and spend most time in the man cave!!!

Selective hearing can get bad, on both ends......

You will enjoy it life is not bad when you have the right one. I still love my wife and would not trade her for anything......

After 15 years it is an automated response out of mine. Seriously though I wouldn't change a thing. They have been the happiest days of my life.

I called my wife a Mack Truck once.... and never again...

We where bowling, and this other girl was staring at me, ao my wife comes up to me and kisses me, and tells me if she looks again she is going to get her, I told her, "leave her alone, you'll roll over her like a Mack Truck" she now taunts me with that saying, "this Mack is going to get you!"

The other thing to not say while drinking with your buddies and the wife goes to get more beer and sneaks up is "When your done, just leave a $50 on the end table" We now laugh about it.
